Applications:

1. Medicine and health care

       At present, in the production of Yinhuang preparations and Shuanghuanglian preparations, chlorogenic acid has been used as one of the important indicators for quality control. Polyphenols such as chlorogenic acid are called "the seventh nutrient" and are widely used in the         health care industry. Health care drugs added with chlorogenic acid have the characteristics of clearing away heat and detoxification,nourishing skin and moisturizing, and relieving excessive tobacco and alcohol.

2. Food industry

       1)Chlorogenic acid is a new and efficient phenolic antioxidant. For example, adding a small amount of chlorogenic acid to lard can improve the antioxidant stability of lard and increase the shelf life.

       2)Chlorogenic acid has the effect of enhancing flavor and color, and can be used to keep food and fruit fresh.

3. Cosmetics industry

       The natural polyphenols represented by chlorogenic acid can protect collagen from free radicals such as reactive oxygen species and an effectively prevent the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays on human skin.
